In Vietnam:
- I could explore every corner of my twins cousins’ clothing stores and almost everything fits my size.
- I could easily text a friend before a trip and ask her to bring me extra tops in case it gets cold.
- My sister has lots of hand-me-downs from me, and I have tons passed on from my mom and cousins in the house.
In America: I’m tossing out 2/3 of my clothes with the hope that they will end up in the kids section. I cherish many of the items, but I don’t think it’s even ok to just ask someone if they’ll want it.
Thinking of this makes me feel homesick.
