Great-grandma said she had a dream
for the family to have food and water
to be happy with waves of laughter fill the endless farm.
Grandma said she had a dream
for the children to soon be grownups
to be educated and make a home of their own.
Mama said she had a dream
for me to swim in the global ocean
to make my nation known not for wars – but for love and talent.
When the nights fall, I remind myself that I have a dream
to write the chapters of my own life
to change the course of history, bits by bits like a punctuation in the universe.
Dreams as they are
Standing at the edge of the cliff of life,
One can’t help it but fear.
A push and a pull
Fluttering in the air, among the birds migrating south
Great-grandma, grandma, and mama never taught me how to fly.
07.06.20. as cold as ICE
I’m stunned about my own existence
so meaningless in the world of power
